UNDERSTANDING YOUR FEARS… in a recent edition of SUCCESS Magazine, the Editors presented the results of a survey they had conducted of their readership regarding this question… "What Fear Most Impacts Your Success?' Here's what they reported:
— Fear of Failure… 39%
— Fear of Trading Security for Uncertainty or the Unknown… 23%
— Fear of Overextending Yourself Financially… 18%
— Fear of What Others Will Think or Say… 15%
— Fear That Your Achievements and Success Will Alienate Your Peers… 5%
Everyone has Fears. It's interesting that 62% of our Fears can be attributed to "failure and/or loss of security" (ie: the top 2 on the list). Where do you think your Fears are based?
Here is your ACTION STEP…dealing with personal Fear is a huge topic. It involves an immense amount of psychology and certainly stems from most people's childhood. This Daily Sales Tip is about looking at the above statistics and then stepping up to your personal Fears. The best way to do that is to Strengthen your Self-confidence. Here's some ideas for gaining more Self-Confidence:
1. Make sure you are in the best of health… when you look good, you feel good. When you feel good… you become unstoppable!
2. Be very clear on what your top priorities are for your business and your life. Have written goals and review them daily. Have "laser" focus.
3. Surround yourself with people who have a positive influence on you… avoid all the naysayers" They are "confidence vampires"!
4. Use the "baby step method"… move along the Road of Success one step at a time. Be sure to pat yourself on the back on an ongoing basis. Remember… "progress not perfection".
There's no way any of us can overcome our Fears as a result of one simple "healing session". It takes time, as Franklin Delano Roosevelt said, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself". Start working at getting out of your own way. Make a commitment to bolster your self-confidence every single day. Do not let your Fears hold you back! Remember this…."Everything you want is on the other side of fear". Even the most successful have fears, they just work on them harder than those who are less successful. NO Excuses.
