FRIEND IN THE BUSINESS/ALREADY HAVE AN AGENT… is a very common objection. The best Salespeople learn how to deal with that and move forward. Here is one of the best techniques (why?…because it really works)…
"WE ALREADY HAVE AN AGENT/FRIEND IN THE BUSINESS"
No problem! And if you are like most people I talk to you're probably going to get more than one opinion on your place….. Do you intend to do that? (yes/no)
if yes…… [set an appointment & use the pre-qualifying script]
if no.…. you're kidding, why not? (I think he knows what he's doing)
Mr./Mrs. Seller…you could be right. He may be the best one for you… and yet your home is one of your largest assets, correct? (for sure)
There are 10,000's of thousands of dollars at stake right? (absolutely)
So don't take my word for it, think of it this way… if you were talking to your Lawyer or Accountant I assure you they would say …."even if you do go with FRED you should get another opinion, just to make sure you're getting the best for you"… So, let's do this, I don't mind, let's set aside 15 min for me to come over and look at your place. I can come today at 5 pm or tomorrow at 3 pm, what works best for you? (let's do it today)
Remember, just because they offer this objection doesn't mean that they're not open to interviewing another Salesperson. You are better, you can do a better job for them. It is your job to show them why it is in their best interest to talk to you. Help them understand that. NO Excuses!
