Warmer or Colder? – Sept. 24, 2010

EASTER EGG HUNT… remember as a child when you used to hunt for eggs at Easter? All the children would run around squealing wildly while they were searching for treasures. The parents would give guidance by saying either "You're getting warmer" or "You're getting colder". The temperature analogy was designed to tell the children if they were getting closer to the goal or further away. The Selling Business is much like an Easter Egg Hunt. How so?

Here is your ACTION STEP… life's little lessons never seem to change. The treasures we are looking for are no longer Easter Eggs… but we still have to go out looking, don't we? How does all this apply to Sales? Here is the game now:

1. Ask yourself…what Easter Eggs am I looking for today? (What do I want to find? Be specific.) 

2. Start looking early in the day (Lead generation should always be in the a.m.)

3. Be your own thermometer. (With this new lead…am I getting warmer? or…am I getting colder?)

4. Be honest with yourself… am I spending enough time looking for "Easter Eggs"? & Am I looking in the right places?  

Start today with a very focused Easter Egg Hunt. Don't get off track… it's simple, more eggs = more money. NO Excuses.
