Here’s a great approach to drum up business in an area you are already working.
For your next Open House, plan on door knocking 100-150 homes in the area. By getting out and being highly visible, you will create awareness of who you are and how much extra you do to get homes sold.
A Coaching Client recently followed this advice and picked up a second listing …and sold them both! Here’s a terrific script to use.
Door Knocking for the Open House
Hi my name is ___________________ with ______________________ Real Estate locally. I was just dropping by to let you know that we are doing an open house for an exciting new listing just down the street from you. The address is 123 Main Street and it’s priced at $795,000. We are holding the home open for viewing on Saturday at 2 PM – 4 PM.
As a local resident, I wanted to personally invite you to come and see the home. Are you available next Saturday? (Yes maybe but we’re not moving, that’s for sure)
No problem, thanks for telling me that. How long have you lived here? (5 years)
Five years – good for you. How do you like the neighbourhood? (Oh we love it)
I’m not surprised…we’re getting a lot of positive reaction already. Because it’s such a great area I’m wondering, who you might know that would want to move in – you know, who do you know that would want to come through the open house on the weekend? (Not sure right now)
No problem, thanks so much for thinking about it – please give it some thought and if anyone comes to mind be sure to send them over. Also, by all means feel free to come by yourself on the weekend. It would be great to see you there. (Okay)
One last question before I let you go… I know you said you’re not moving. Let me ask you – do you see yourself making any sort of a move in the next year or so? (No not really)
