BREAK IT DOWN AND DECIDE… it is safe to say that the bulk of all Salespeople are always striving to capture the elusive… "More Business". You go to work every day, you work on the leads you've got, and you try and create new leads as much as possible. Today's Daily Sales Tip explores the options for getting more business. It is not "rocket science". If you want more business you can:
1. "BUY IT" option #1… advertise and promote extensively.
2. PROSPECT MORE
3. "BUY IT" option #2… cut your commission.
4. WAIT FOR IT…to come in on its own.
It's up to you to decide how YOU want to create more business. What works best for you? Some of the above points are more labor-intensive than others. Some of the above points are more expensive than others. Everyone has to decide. Most Salespeople use a combination of all four options. Hopefully not too much of point #4. Here's a question I want to leave you with… whatever approach you choose, make sure it is profitable and not based on hope. Create some predictability. As retired Ohio State football coach Woody Hayes said long ago… "Hope is not a strategy". Create a strategy that works for you and follow it. Treat your Business like a Business. Final point…once you decide, stick to your decision and be committed. Start every day with the same plan. Don't bounce back and forth. NO Excuses.
