2 Steps to Unswamp yourself in real estate sales! When’s the last time you said to yourself… “Geeeez – I’m swamped!” ? It happens to everyone, you have so many “balls in the air” that the feeling of overwhelm takes over.
It’s time to Unswamp Yourself. Here’s how – 2 solutions:
1. If your overwhelm is task oriented – The first step is to make a list of all the things and projects you are working on. Next you need to prioritize them all so you can work your way out of the overwhelm.
Just by writing them down makes it easier to decide on “which one I will tackle first”. Now start working on them one at a time – no cheating! The alternative is multitasking and that’s much less productive.
2. If your overwhelm is physical take a look at your surroundings. For example – your office. Step back and start putting things where they belong. You probably have too many files on your desk.
It’s time to reduce the clutter. The less clutter you have, the easier it will be to get things back to normal. A good metaphor to consider is the neatness of an operating room in a hospital. Everything is in its place. Does your office look like an operating room or a second hand store?
