Let’s talk briefly about how the market’s going and how that impacts you over a 12 month period. Often, the sales volume gets slower and slower, and then it picks up again in the spring. Right?
That’s typical. That’s the market. What does that have to do with you? Nothing. Here’s why…
Below you’ll see how I viewed the business when I was selling real estate and here’s what I know all of my coaching clients are doing very effectively…
Your activity and your consistency is what’s going to make the difference. Don’t worry about the market. Here’s the GOOD NEWS…the market conditions have nothing to do with your results. Over a 12 month period there are always a significant # of people moving…right through from January to December.
Most Salespeople do not look at it that way.. They’re going to start slowing down their activity when the market does. What kind of activity? Your lead generation, your lead followup, and your handling of objections to help people see the benefits of moving sooner. Make sure that you’re doing all the things that need to be done consistently. Do the things that the competition isn’t doing and ignore the market. It won’t affect you at all. You are 100% in charge of your results. NO Excuses. Bruce
Question for you…(leave a comment below)…What consistency technique helps you stay focused throughout the whole year?
Thanks Bruce,
I have found that it is consistently staying the course. I have set my schedule into my Google cakander.
I have 6 listing appointment times throughout the week and the goal each week is to fill the appointment slots.
The weeks that I fill those slots are the weeks of my success.
I do meet and greet appointments because I’ve learned that those face to face times lead to listings eventually.
Since we know it’s 60 to 90 day cycle that leads to a paycheck, consistency of schedule will get it done.
Your “Total Pieces of Business Clock” has kept me focused. I can safely predict my income month after month.
Good info. Lucky me I ran across your blog by accident
(stumbleupon). I’ve saved as a favorite for later!
Thank you! Nice to be found, enjoy!
