A GREAT BUFFET FOR YOU… sometimes all we need to do is Be Inspired! Selling is a highly paid profession… the reason it is so lucrative is because of the mental toughness required to be consistently performing at a high level. The degree of difficulty is typically higher for Sales than it is for most other businesses. To be inspired sometimes requires extra effort. Having a "full tank" is critical. It doesn't happen by itself. You need to have your own list of inspirational items to pump you up. Here's what works for me…
BK'S BUFFET LIST TO FILL UP YOUR TANK
1. Consistent exercise
2. Doing more deals (it starts with being in action)
3. Planning and going on a trip… even if it's only overnight
4. Looking at your Dream Board
5. Books with ideas and hope ("The Magic of Thinking Big", Schwartz; "The Richest Man in Babylon", Clason; "Wooden", Wooden & Jamison; "You2", Pritchett; "Three Cups of Tea", Mortenson)
6. Watching children play a sport
7. MP3 audios (Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield)
8. Success Magazine

11. Writing out your personal goals every morning
12. Going for a massage
13. Holding open the door for the person behind you
14. Giving some extra encouragement to someone who's down
15. Looking at how far you've come in the last five years
16. Always "being up" no matter how your day is going.
The Business of Sales can take its toll some days/weeks. The mind of a Salesperson is pretty basic… when you add "good stuff" you do better and you are more fulfilled. You usually find more people who need you, you then help them achieve what they want, and the result is you sell more product/services. Less "good stuff" and you're pushing uphill. The key is to have a plan of always adding positivity and inspiration. What's on your list of inspirational items? Figure out the 5-6 things that help you refill your tank. Rely on them every day, not just periodically. Make sure your tank is always "half-full… not half empty". NO Excuses.
