We always remember our first sale, but it is equally important to celebrate each of our successes! Embrace the memories of your first sale and use that feeling to move you forward on even the toughest days?
I would love to hear how you celebrated that first sale, comment below on how you rewarded yourself.
DIFFERENT & UNIQUE GETS NOTICED… as a commissioned salesperson, one of the ways to create results in your favor is to demonstrate to the marketplace that you stand out… “I am different”. Not always an easy to do but at the same time it is very rewarding.
When Gloria and I were selling real estate we were always looking for that “edge”. Looking for the way to create positive attention without having to blow the budget and “purchase an ad for this year’s Super Bowl” just to get noticed. LOL
Here is an example of us taking a different approach, something that no one else was doing. The approach was called Reg the Realtor. My son Rod is a well-known artist and he started creating a weekly cartoon that we published in the local newspaper featuring Reg. These cartoons became an instant hit and our visibility improved dramatically. Everyone knew about Reg. Over the next few weeks we will be republishing some of the best of those cartoons for your enjoyment. I know you will see the humor in how we can poke fun at our industry in a positive way.
At the same time, the real message is to remind you to always be on the lookout for something different that you can do. Perhaps it’s a unique customer event, a unique sponsorship, a weekly video about your community, special branding that really stands out, etc. Whatever it is, take advantage of the consumer’s thirst for unique and different. Be unforgettable. You will win every time. BK
