A Solution to: Eliminating Your Fears

THE FEAR FACTOR…one of the things that stops us from doing things is FEAR. Conversely, fear does force us to do certain things… some good, some bad. Either way, fear has a lot of power over most people. We become afraid of what might happen… we become afraid of failing… sometimes we even are afraid of Success! The key is to know when fear is holding us back and also, what opportunities do our fears offer us? 

Here is your ACTION STEP…the expression "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself" comes to mind. When fear rears its ugly head we really do have to step up to it. Take this approach: 

1. Identify the item/task that is creating the fear (that sales call, that new script, closing 3-5 times, etc.). 

2. Ask yourself this question… "what is the worst thing that could happen here?". 

3. Ask yourself the next question… "what will the result be when I face this fear and move past it?". 

4. Here's the Critical Part:…weigh out the answers to these two questions and decide…"which fear has more power over me? Doing it or not doing it?". 

Once you have made your choice… move forward and stop thinking about it. Often times the fear of doing something is more painful than taking action and actually doing it. A corollary to some of our fears is the fear that "this might really work". Don't be afraid of Success, have courage, embrace your ability to move forward and be a Superstar! NO Excuses.
